What is a lamacoid (or lamicoid)?

The term, Lamacoid, is actually a trade name for 2 or 3-ply plastic engraving material. Lamacoids are available in a variety of colour combinations, with or without holes and adhesive backing. Industrial lamacoids are UV stable making them suitable for both indoor & outdoor applications and available in a smooth or textured finish.

Lamacoid material is most commonly used to make identification tags or labels for assets and equipment, electrical tags and legend plates as well as safety and warning signs.
